A South Korean spy lose his job for blackmailing Samsung with intelligence of secret funds.
Yonhap reports (in Korean only, I couldn’t find the English version) that an agent of the National Intelligence Service, South Korean spy agency, personally contacted with a Samsung board member and asked indirectly for hush money on March last year.
A board member didn’t respond to his demand. Instead, the agency’s internal investigation came after the blackmailer. He was fired after the investigation last year’s June.
It is reported that he acquired intelligence of the Samsung’s secret funds from his alumni but the Yonhap report does not mention the intelligence’s authenticity.
So dear NIS agents, remember that you can screw with the whole nation but not with Samsung!
